The VCH Research Institute Communications Team acts as a liaison between the media and VCH Research Institute researchers. Our goal is to provide prompt access to researchers, health topic experts, important VCH Research Institute stories, and media resources. Our research community members, who are clinicians and discovery scientists conducting both clinical and lab-based research at VCH sites, practice specializations in areas of medicine and health research.
To ensure the confidentiality of VCH patients, residents, and employees, VCH Research Institute is responsible for directing and clearing all media calls. Media representatives visiting VCH sites must be escorted by Public Affairs personnel (or designate). Public Affairs must receive written consent from patents prior to media interviews. Documentary file producers must submit a written synopsis about their project to Public Affairs. If consent is given, a written agreement must be signed.
