Evaluation Course For the fifth consecutive year, a seven month education series on program evaluation for health care managers and practitioners was offered. The goal of this series is for participants to develop competency as a beginning evaluator through the study of the program evaluation literature and by conducting an evaluation project. To that end, teams of participants undertake an evaluation project that addresses a question in their practice while they are learning program evaluation principles and methods (quantitative and qualitative). An oral presentation of the evaluation plan and available findings are required at the end of the series. Funding for this education series has been provided through the Health Authority Capacity Building grant provided to VCH by the Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research.
