Please join us for an introduction to REDCap (Research Electronic Data Capture), a secure web application for implementing electronic clinical research data and online surveys. This session will provide an overview of how to use REDCap as a data management tool along with the new services provided by the Faculty of Medicine Research Data Management Team.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

In this workshop you will learn to:

  • the main features of REDCap
  • types of projects does REDCap support
  • how to request a project and data management services

Speaker: Ashley McKerrow is the Team Lead – Data Management, Research & Digital Technology for UBC Digital Solutions. Ashley is an experienced data management professional with over twelve years of experience supporting health research. She started at BC Children’s Hospital as the Lead of Data Management, and built a successful team that supports full research data services, including training and education, data support, and platform validation. Under her leadership, the data management team facilitated hundreds of active research studies, provided excellent customer service, and is recognized by peers as a standard for data management processes and documentation.
