Our four Working Groups are designed to enhance the research environment throughout VCH by facilitating broader decision making on the activities most important to researchers, to enable transparency of operations, fostering effective communications and increasing integration of research activities with BC’s other health research institutes.

The Research Infrastructure Working Group is responsible for two specific areas. First, identifying the research infrastructure requirements within VCH and then planning to secure space for new research programs. Second, identifying shared space and equipment resources and determining how to make them available to the VCH research community.
Career Development & Training
The Career Development & Research Training Working Group is responsible for identifying and developing the relevant education and training resources for trainees, career researchers and health professionals at all levels within VCH.
Knowledge Translation & Communications
The Knowledge Exchange and Communications Working Group is responsible for determining and implementing an overall coordinated, comprehensive and well developed internal plan for knowledge translation and communications throughout VCH. This Group is also responsible for implementing an effective external stakeholder relations and communications strategy.
Financial Oversight & Business Development
The Financial Oversight and Business Development Working Group is responsible for increasing the size of the budget, increasing business development opportunities and improving overall transparency of financial decision making within the VCH Research Institute.
