The Communications Team acts as a liaison between the media and VCH researchers. Our goal is to provide prompt access to researchers, health topic experts, important VCH Research Institute stories, and media resources.
To ensure the confidentiality of VCH patients, residents, and employees, VCHRI is responsible for directing and clearing all media calls. Media representatives visiting VCH sites must be escorted by Public Affairs personnel or Communications designate. Public Affairs must receive written consent from patients prior to media interviews.
VCHRI is home to world leading clinicians and discovery researchers across a broad spectrum of disciplines. The dynamic and diverse research community at VCH research Institute creates opportunities for new scientific knowledge and its translation into improved health and economic outcomes in British Columbia.
