Vancouver Coastal Health Research Institute (VCHRI) and Prime Trials Inc. Enter into Co-operative Services Agreement to Provide Phase I Through IV Clinical Trial Services.
Vancouver, BC, May 26, 2004 - The Vancouver Coastal Health Research Institute (VCHRI) and Prime Trials Inc. have signed a Co-operative Services Agreement to provide non-exclusive integrated Phase I through Phase IV clinical trial services to pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. The two organizations will also work together to pursue joint marketing opportunities.
The strategic partnership unites VCHRI's clinical research support unit and network of physicians experienced in multidisciplinary Phase II-IV clinical trials with Prime Trials' experience and expertise in protocol design, pharmacokinetics, clinical operations, their intensive-care clinical facility and volunteer/patient populations.
"This agreement formalizes a long-term relationship that we have had with Prime Trials," says Dr. Bernie Bressler, Director, Vancouver Coastal Health Research Institute. "We are excited about the opportunity to promote each other's services and work together to provide services along the entire clinical trial value chain. Prime Trials expertise in early stage clinical services complements our later stage competencies."
"Our close relationship with VCHRI and the hospital has been an important part of our success as a clinical research facility," says Frank Holler, Chief Executive Officer of Prime Trials. "The expertise of VCHRI's clinical investigators is stellar and we look forward to extending our relationship with the Research Institute under this new agreement. Co-promotion of our clinical trial services is a logical step for both our organizations and for expanding the clinical research industry in British Columbia."
