Join us for a workshop on the pre- and post-award processes led by UBC Research Administration at VCHRI. This workshop will provide an overview of the services offered by the UBC Office of Research Services, such as obtaining institutional signatures for a grant application, setting up research accounts, transferring research funds and registering clinical trials.
This workshop is part of our VCHRI Research Training Series. This series is designed to support the acquisition of advanced skills, techniques and knowledge, and lead to enhanced practices in the conduct of research.
In this workshop you will learn about:
- The services offered by the UBC Office of Research Services at VCHRI
- The items needed to obtain grant application signatures and research accounts
- Who to contact for assistance with grant and account queries
- Tips for dealing with specific granting agency submissions, including the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, the National Institutes of Health and the US Department of Defense
About the Speaker
Susan O’Neil is the Research Manager at the UBC Office of Research Services located at VCHRI. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of British Columbia and has over 15 years of experience in research administration.
Registrants will receive information on joining the virtual event two days prior to the event date.
