Purpose of Study 

The purpose of this study is to test the effect of the daily consumption of vitamin B12 (B12) fortified yogurt on B12 status in older adults.  Provided it is effective, the new food product and food fortification strategy will offer older adults, a growing age group in Canada, an alternative dietary source of B12 to meeting their B12 requirements.

Eligibility 

You may participate in this study if you are:

  • A healthy male or female between 50-75 years of age.
  • A non-smoker
  • Not taking any high-dose vitamin B12 supplemens in the last month
  • Not taking prescription medications
