VCHRI Research Reveal helps foster research collaborations by bringing together researchers, trainees, donors and staff, while highlighting the diverse research being done under the VCHRI umbrella. Over 150 people were in attendance at the Blusson Spinal Cord Centre.
“This annual event is at the heart of what VCHRI does – translational health research and collaboration,” says Dr. Robert McMaster, Executive Director, VCH Research Institute. “It’s an opportunity to break down the silos that traditionally exist in research environments, inviting partnerships between the different research teams.”
Other highlights of the evening included technology demos from eight VCHRI Centres and Programs including the Pro-Neck-Tor helmet for preventing spinal cord injury, advancements in imaging, online health applications, the hip health and mobility Mobile Research Lab, rural maternity care, and advanced burn care.
VCHRI internal grant winners were also announced at the event. Congratulations to this year’s Top Graduating Doctoral Student, Rising Star, Mentored Clinician Scientist, and Clinician Scientist recipients!
We look forward to seeing you next year’s VCHRI Research Reveal!
