Clinical Trials Training with CANTRAIN

The Canadian Consortium of Clinical Trial Training Platform (CANTRAIN) is a program that provides online learning modules, fellowships, internships and mentorship opportunities. Their platform includes modular training tailored to support clinical research professionals, investigators, trainees and community partners. Join this session to learn about the training modules offered by CANTRAIN, including their core foundational courses, regulatory courses, training streams, courses in development and more. This session will also provide an introduction to CANTRAIN and share an overview of how to access and navigate their learning platform. 

Learning objectives 

In this workshop you will learn:

  • About the variety of training modules for different types of learners such as coordinators, investigators or public
  • About other CANTRAIN learning opportunities such as internships and mentorship 
  • How to access and navigate the CANTRAIN platform for learning
About the speaker
Alicia Murdoch is a clinical research professional, certified by the Association of Clinical Research Professionals. Over the last 15 years, she has worked in various roles such as coordinator, REB administrator and study start-up specialist. She currently works as a provincial engagement coordinator for CANTRAIN, a pan-Canadian clinical trial training platform, where she shares the education opportunities of the platform and supports learners across the province.

This workshop is part of our VCHRI Research Training Series. This series is designed to support the acquisition of advanced skills, techniques and knowledge and lead to enhanced practices in the conduct of research.
