The Centre for Gender and Sexual Health Equity’s Gender and Sex in Methods and Measurement Research Equity Toolkit was created to address two pervasive problems in health research: the misuse of gender and sex concepts, and the erasure of people who are marginalized and minoritized based on their sexes and genders. This presentation will explore common methodological and measurement missteps when it comes to gender and sex, and demonstrate how accuracy, precision and inclusion can facilitate more robust and equitable research praxis.
