Purpose of Study
To investigate and document influences and trends in the costs related to prescription drugs.
Eligibility
Inclusion Criteria:
Participants in the clinic-level surveys will include:
- Any patients from two specifically targeted types of medical clinics: (1) primary care clinics serving areas known to have a high concentration of the working poor, and (2) specialty clinics serving patients with illnesses that are likely to be associated with high drug costs
- 2 clinics (one of each type) will be in British Columbia and 2 in Ontario
- Participants that are 18 years or older
Participants in the patient-level interviews include:
- Any participants who have one or more chronic conditions, and have experienced cost-related nonadherence
- Any participants who are commonly treated with pharmacotherapy, and have experienced cost-related nonadherence
