Her work spans multiple domains, including protocol development, ethical considerations in global surgery and health systems strengthening in low-resource settings. She has played a key role in evaluating and promoting the adoption of Massive Hemorrhage Protocols across Ontario, and has contributed to a comprehensive scoping review of ethical challenges in global surgery.
A significant aspect of her work involves trauma data systems. Dr. Grant has led initiatives to implement and sustain trauma registries in low- and middle-income countries, including the design and assessment of a mobile trauma registry app tailored for these contexts. Through these research contributions, Dr. Grant remains committed to advancing evidence-based trauma care and promoting equitable access to surgical services worldwide.
