Biography
Dr. Hugue Ouellette is an internationally recognized musculoskeletal radiologist working at Vancouver General Hospital, where he is the director of the musculoskeletal radiology fellowship and head of the musculoskeletal radiology division. He is a clinical professor of radiology, orthopaedic surgery and sports medicine at the University of British Columbia (UBC).
Dr. Ouellette has written several textbooks, including the bestselling Clinical Radiology Made Ridiculously Simple and Orthopedics Made Ridiculously Simple. He is co-founder of the Vancouver Bone Squad, a UBC alumni outreach organization providing free weekly continued medical education-accredited musculoskeletal lectures.
His research interests include investigating novel imaging techniques in the musculoskeletal system, including dual-energy computed tomography (CT), photon-counting CT and advanced MR imaging as well as radiofrequency neuromodulation for pain management and the potential future imaging applications in augmented and virtual reality.
