Biography
Dr. Maya Libben is an associate professor of psychology and the lead investigator of the PLAN Lab at the University of British Columbia — Okanagan. She is also a registered clinical psychologist in the province of British Columbia. Dr. Libben completed her PhD in clinical psychology from McGill University and post-doctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Libben is trained as both a clinical psychologist and a neuropsychologist; her research interests similarly fall into these two domains. Her current work focuses on understanding the psychological and attentional mechanisms underlying body dissatisfaction and eating disorders, particularly within digital environments. She also maintains an active clinical and research interest in neuropsychology, including stroke, concussion and complex interactions between cognitive and psychological functioning.
