Awards and Funding

Vancouver Coastal Health Research Institute (VCHRI) offers internal awards and funding competitions for individual investigators and research teams to bring discovery from bench to bedside and build health research capacity.

Each year VCHRI provides approximately $1.8M in funding for compensation- and project-based awards, annually supporting our investigators, clinicians, trainees, students and research teams from a variety of health disciplines.

VCHRI is proud to offer its award program in partnership with VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation, Richmond Hospital Foundation, Lions Gate Hospital Foundation, Providence Research, Organ Donation and Transplant Research Foundation of BC, Michael Smith Health Research BC, VGH Nursing Alumnae Association and BC Nurses Union.
