C2E2 Spotlight

Sep 13 2021, 12:00pm – 1:00pm
Virtual or Room 700, 828 West 10th Avenue Vancouver
Intended Audience
Researchers, graduate students and postdoctoral fellows

The COVID pandemic turned the health system from in-person to virtual in a few short months. In B.C., in order to address the rural, remote and indigenous equity of access of care, and also to improve provincial access to health services, the Real Time Virtual Support (RTVS) network suite of virtual services were established. This presentation introduces the RTVS lines, and focuses on our evaluation efforts to fulfill the four key missions of this network.

Learning Objectives

In this presentation, you will learn:

  • To be introduced to the different virtual care lines in RTVS
  • To understand how the RTVS evaluation was set up with associated metrics
  • To discuss the ongoing evaluation efforts in the ongoing growth of RTVS in B.C.
About the Speaker

Dr. Kendall Ho is an emergency medical specialist in Vancouver, a professor in the UBC Faculty of Medicine Department of Emergency Medicine and a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. He leads the Digital Emergency Medicine Unit and is recognized for his ground-breaking research in digital health.
