The Dilawri Cardiovascular Institute (DCI) is an institute within VCHRI that brings together global leaders in cardiovascular research and care. DCI is a national cardiovascular hub and world leader in cardiovascular innovation, research and clinical care, enabling patients to live longer, healthier lives with minimal disruption.
DCI’s vast multidisciplinary network delivers groundbreaking discoveries to patients in British Columbia and beyond, spanning eight core research centres: the Centre for AI, Data Science, Imaging and Precision Medicine; the Centre for Women’s Heart Health Research; the Centre for Cardiovascular Translational Science; SportsCardiologyBC; the Centre for Thoracic Aortic Disease; the Centre for Structural Heart Interventions; the Centre for Pulmonary Vascular Disease; and the Centre for Cardiovascular Innovation. Clinicians and researchers at DCI are focused on using new technology and discoveries to improve access to care, shorten wait times, improve outcomes and decrease recovery times.
