Biography
Dr. Hazal Babadagli is a clinical pharmacy specialist at the Dilawri Cardiovascular Institute, Vancouver General Hospital, and a clinical assistant professor in the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of British Columbia.
She received her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of Alberta, followed by a post-baccalaureate Doctor of Pharmacy degree. Dr. Babadagli subsequently completed an Advanced Year 2 Cardiology Pharmacy Residency and a Master of Science in Medicine at the University of Alberta. She has practiced across a range of inpatient cardiac care settings at the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute in Edmonton, including general cardiology, cardiac critical care, cardiovascular surgery and the ventricular assist device program.
Dr. Babadagli relocated to Vancouver in 2023 and currently practices in outpatient cardiology. Her research interests focus on atrial fibrillation pharmacotherapy and cardiovascular risk reduction. She is a primary panel member of the Canadian Cardiovascular Society Antiplatelet Guidelines and serves on the board of the Canadian Cardiovascular Pharmacist Network.
