Biography
Dr. Jasmine Grewal is a clinical professor of medicine at the University of British Columbia (UBC) and the head of the UBC Divisions of Cardiology. She is also the director of the Yasmin and Amir Virani Provincial Adult Congenital Heart Program and Provincial Cardio-Obstetrics Program.
With fellowship training in Adult Congenital Heart Disease/Pregnancy and Heart Disease (Toronto General Hospital) and Echocardiography (Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota), Dr. Grewal is actively involved in clinical and research activities in these fields. She is currently involved as a primary and co-investigator in numerous single center and multi-center research studies in the areas of congenital heart disease and pregnancy and heart disease.
She is the past annual meeting chair for the Canadian Cardiovascular Congress, president of the Canadian Adult Congenital Heart Network and past president of the Alliance for Adult Research in Congenital Cardiology. She is a co-author of the 2022 Canadian Cardiovascular Society Guidelines for the Management of Congenital Heart Disease and co-chair of the 2021 Clinical Practice Document on Management of Cardiac Disease in Pregnancy.
