Join us for a viewing of the documentary, “The Human Trial”. Hosted by Vancouver Coastal Health Research Institute, in partnership with Clinical Trials BC, part of Michael Smith Health Research BC, this event aims to increase awareness among the health research community around the complex considerations of conducting first-in-human clinical trials.
The film focuses on two patients as they undergo the first year of a clinical trial; and showcases how scientists and patients work together to test a possible cure for diabetes.
There will be a live panel discussion with clinical trial leaders following the film screening. Panelists will answer key questions raised in the film and offer diverse perspectives about clinical trials.
Light snacks and beverages will be provided.
