The Developmental Origins of Health and Disease (DOHaD) is concerned with understanding factors that impact human developmental trajectories and predispose to later life disease. The theme of this year's congress, "Social and Environmental Disruptions in DOHaD: Successful Interventions for a Healthy Future" is highly topical and relevant to global health and well-being. The sub-themes capture the breadth of DOHaD from basic science and clinical research, to social science and policy.
