Purpose of Study
The purpose of this study is to learn about the questions people with spinal cord injuries/disorders (SCI/D) and health care professionals have about perimenopause and menopause. This study will help determine the priority areas for research, care and education for persons with SCI/D during perimenopause and menopause. The new knowledge obtained from this study will be used in the translation efforts in perimenopause and menopause care for people with SCI/D.
This study involves an online survey (approximately 20 minutes) and an optional online workshop (up to six hours over two days). Take the survey on REDCap here.
Eligibility
This study is open to three groups:
- Individuals who live with SCI/D, were assigned female at birth, and identify as cisgender, non-binary, trans or otherwise gender diverse;
- Health care professionals who work with people with SCI/D and/or work with persons experiencing perimenopause/menopause; and
- Leaders in health care or community organizations that involve persons with SCI/D and/or women’s midlife health.
All participants must live in British Columbia, be 18 years of age or above, and be able to read, write and understand the English language.
