Biography

Jane de Lemos is a clinical professor in the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of British Columbia. She has been working as a clinical pharmacy specialist in the Emergency Department at Richmond Hospital since 2011. Her current research interest is in preventable adverse drug events and the development of a learning and surveillance system at Richmond Hospital with the aim to reduce pADEs and associated medical admissions. Jane and the team at Richmond Hospital were recipients of the VCHRI Innovation and Translational Research Award for this research in 2016. In addition to completing her Doctor of Pharmacy at UBC, Jane has a Master of Science in epidemiology from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and has published prior research in critical care at Vancouver General Hospital and clinical pharmacy services.
