Transition to Health Data Platform BC’s Trusted Analysis Environment (TAE-BC)

May 27 2026, 12:00pm – 1:00pm
Virtual

The Health Data Platform BC streamlines access to health sector and government datasets while providing integrated analytical tools within its secure, cloud-based environment — Trusted Analysis Environment (TAE BC). Beginning in 2026, all active projects requiring linked data that are currently housed in Population Data BC’s Secure Research Environment (SRE) will be migrated to TAE BC. All new projects requiring linked data will be created in TAE BC by default.

Join Dinki Thakkar and Shirley Wong for an informative session on navigating this transition. Participants will learn about migrating existing projects, initiating new projects using health sector datasets, managing projects within TAE BC and planning effectively for data access requirements during the grant application process.

Learning objectives

In this workshop you will learn:

  • Key dates for the transition of active projects from Population Data BC’s SRE to TAE BC
  • How to apply for government and health sector dataset access
  • How research projects will be managed within TAE BC
  • How to stay informed about updates and get access to demonstration of the TAE BC environment
About the speakers
