Purpose of Study
The purpose of this study is to investigate the safety and tolerability of AMG 732 in participants with thyroid eye disease (TED). TED is an autoimmune disease in which the eye muscles and fatty tissue behind the eye become inflamed causing the eyeball to bulge.
In this masked study, participants who have TED will be randomly assigned to either AMG 732 or a placebo and will receive a total of six subcutaneous (under the skin) injections in the abdomen over the course of 20 weeks. There will be approximately 20 study visits for about one year in which participants will undergo assessments such as blood and urine sampling, questionnaires, eye exams, hearing tests and MRI.
