Purpose of Study

The purpose of this study is to explore the experiences and perceptions of yoga from people with spinal cord injury (SCI), yoga instructors and clinicians. This well help researchers better understand the perceived barriers and enablers of yoga and find implementation options using Mode of Delivery Taxonomy Version (MoDTv0).

Eligibility

People with SCI may be eligible to participate if they:

  • are 18 years of age or older
  • live in the community
  • use any means of mobility devices
  • have SCI at and below thoracic level of injury (T1 and below) with complete/incomplete SCI (ASIA B, C, D)
  • experienced their injury (subacute to chronic SCI) at least three months prior to the study
  • are able to communicate in English

Yoga instructors and clinicians may be eligible to participate if they:

  • have at least five years of clinical expertise and knowledge
  • are able to communicate in English
