Biography
Dr. Khazei graduated from medical school at the University of British Columbia in 1995 before completing a residency in Family Medicine in Victoria, BC. He then worked for 4 years as a rural family physician, before returning to Vancouver to complete the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Residency in Emergency Medicine and a Fellowship in Hyperbaric and Diving Medicine. Dr. Khazei is currently working at Vancouver General Hospital as attending physician in the Emergency Department and the Hyperbaric Unit.
1. Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy for Cerebral Artery Gas Embolism.
2. Emergency Medicine Simulation Education curriculum development and evaluation.
3. Improving health in rural communities through development, delivery, and evaluation of innovative educational programs, utilizing online, simulation, and hybrid models.
4. Supporting development in under-resourced countries through education as a means to sustainable development.
