Equity in Research: A Tender Approach

Apr 19 2024, 12:00pm – 1:00pm
Virtual

Join us for a seminar that will focus on the importance of considering and applying equity in health research. This session will provide an introduction to equity-oriented approaches in health care and how this carries over into research. Concrete tools and frameworks will be discussed so that attendees can leave the session with a better idea of how best to meaningfully address health inequities in their practice. Dr. Alycia Fridkin will also be exploring novel, transformative methods of incorporating equity in research.

This workshop is part of our VCHRI Research Training Series. This series is designed to support the acquisition of advanced skills, techniques and knowledge and lead to enhanced practices in the conduct of research.

Learning objectives

In this workshop you will learn:

  • clarification on the differences in common terminology
  • specific, applied tools for equity-based approaches in health research
  • new and innovative ways to incorporate equity in health research
