Purpose of Study

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the immune response and safety of a new vaccine in preventing diseases due to infection with respiratory syncytial virus (RSV). This RSV vaccine will be tested in older adults who are recipients of lung or kidney transplants and are at an increased risk of RSV compared to healthy older adults.

Eligibility

You may be eligible to participate if you:

  • are 50 years of age or older
  • are at higher risk of severe RSV due to use of medications that lower your ability to fight infections (i.e. are immunocompromised)
  • underwent a lung or kidney transplant at least one year prior to enrolling in the study

Please note: Only participants who have received a lung transplant will be enrolled at this centre.
