Biography

Dr. Kathryn Isaac is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon at Vancouver Coastal Health and Providence Health Care. She studied medicine and completed her plastic and reconstructive surgery training at the University of Toronto. She subsequently completed a craniofacial fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital and further specialized in breast reconstruction at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg. In addition to her surgical training, she holds a Master of Public Health from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. In September 2018, Dr. Isaac moved to Vancouver and has been providing her skills at VCH and PHC ever since.

As the Patricia Clugston Chair of Breast Reconstruction, Dr. Isaac advances the delivery of breast cancer care and reconstruction in B.C. by pursuing clinical research across five key domains: system and process analysis, centralized care optimization, outcomes research application, patient-oriented research development and translational research support.
