Biography
Lianping Ti is a research scientist and health administrative data lead with the BC Centre on Substance Use. She is also an assistant professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of British Columbia.
An epidemiologist by training, her research program largely focuses on the intersections between unregulated drug use, comorbidities and the delivery of health systems, as well as the technical aspects of operating and manipulating large linked administrative databases. Her research utilizes longitudinal survey and population-level linked administrative data to evaluate emerging health and harm reduction interventions for people who use unregulated drugs and/or living with substance use disorders. She also has international research experience working on a serial cross-sectional mixed-methods study to explore experiences with access to health and harm reduction services among people who inject drugs in Bangkok, Thailand.
