Biography

Dr. William Connors is a clinical assistant professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases at the University of British Columbia (UBC) and a consultant based primarily at St. Paul's Hospital. He obtained his Doctor of Medicine from UBC, internal medicine and infectious diseases certification from the University of Calgary, and Master of Public Health with a focus in global health from Emory University. He has a special interest in tuberculosis and other mycobacterial diseases and works with the British Columbia Centre for Disease Control tuberculosis program and on the Vancouver General Hospital tuberculosis ward. His clinical and research interests focus on improving infectious disease health care and prevention services for marginalized populations in our society and health system.
