Purpose of Study

The purpose of this study is to investigate whether psilocybin-assisted therapy is effective in treating symptoms of treatment-resistant depression in people diagnosed with bipolar II disorder.

Participants will be randomly assigned to receive 25 mg of psilocybin or one mg micro-dose of psilocybin, dosed once under supervision. This study is double-blinded, meaning neither the participant nor the study staff will know which treatment is being received. Participants will have 11 clinical visits, including five therapy sessions, over a period of 16 weeks. The total time commitment for the study is estimated to be 24-30 hours.
