Purpose of Study
The purpose of the study is to determine whether a 26-week exercise training program or cognitive training program can improve sleep quality in stroke survivors who are experiencing poor sleep quality.
Participants will be randomly assigned to either the exercise training program or the cognitive training and social activities program. Both programs involve one-hour sessions twice per week for 26 weeks, which will be held in person at the Centre for Aging SMART at Vancouver General Hospital. Participants will also be asked to attend an in-person screening session and a total of three in-person measurement sessions at the beginning, midpoint and end of the program. During these sessions, the study team will measure their physical and cognitive function, as well as provide a tracker to measure physical activity and sleep quality.
