Biography

Dr. Tim Lee obtained his Doctor of Philosophy from the School of Computing Science at Simon Fraser University in 2001. He is a distinguished scientist and interim department head of the Cancer Control Research Program at BC Cancer and a professor at the Department of Dermatology and Skin Science at the University of British Columbia. His research interests focus on the development of early skin cancer detection techniques using artificial intelligence, medical image analysis and optics methods, and the understanding of the risk factors for melanoma.
