Vancouver Coastal Health Research Institute (VCHRI) is proud to recognize the outstanding contributions of long-term research staff with this year’s inaugural Research Excellence Staff Award (RESA). This competition acknowledges staff members with 10 or more years of service who have demonstrated research excellence through mentorship, building research culture and upholding the VCHRI values of integrity, accountability, collaboration, equity and community- and patient-focus. Each recipient will receive $15,000 of lab funding, as well as a personal honorarium for their dedicated work.
Vancouver Coastal Health Research Institute (VCHRI) supports innovation and improvements in health care through its Knowledge Translation (KT) Challenge, a program run in collaboration with Providence Health Care and BC Cancer. This competition encourages health care practitioners to improve patient care by translating evidence and research findings into practice. The KT Challenge facilitates innovative research projects that advance patient care by partnering practitioners with researchers who provide knowledge translation mentorship and resources.

Vancouver Coastal Health Research Institute (VCHRI) facilitates clinician-scientists in their efforts to make new discoveries to improve the health and well-being of patients across their lifespan. Supported by the VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation, the peer-reviewed Investigator Awards provide salary support to leading health research investigators in order to allow them to reduce their clinical commitments and expand their capacity for innovation-driven research that creates new health care knowledge.
